A trophy round for body and soul
A lap of the Trophy route along the lake is good for body and soul.
With 70 participants on the first pre-start weekend, the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy gets off to a flying start - and motivates people to get moving and enjoy life.
Fresh air has a positive effect on our psyche. It doesn't matter what we do outside, whether we sit in the sun, walk or run. Exercise is also good for the psyche - and the body too. This is widely known. Why many people still find it difficult to exercise regularly - ideally outside - is difficult for the more active part of the population to understand.
New motivation
Anyone who wants to discover the good feeling after "work done" this spring will find the right motivation in the Zugerberg Finance Trophy. The Trophy makes it easy to set goals. These could be, for example: Participate at least once every week. Or complete every short, medium or long stage. Or a total of 20 starts, regardless of the discipline and stage. Or the first hurdle of the altitude challenge. This first hurdle is 2500 meters in altitude or 75 kilometers. There's a real reward for this: a pair of cool Trophy socks in the "Never give up" version.
Not giving up ...
... is definitely worth it. Because it is also known that the body needs time to get used to new stresses and strains. People also generally need time to establish a new habit, from three to eight or even twelve weeks. Rewards play an important role. In "Die Zeit", sports scientist Julia Thurn recommends "keeping a list on which you check a box every time you exercise, and after ten boxes there is a reward, such as a massage." Once jogging has become a habit, the second and third hurdles of the altitude challenge are easy to overcome, because "people who jog regularly will sooner or later feel the urge to go outside," the article continues. That's why for many people, the joy of movement equals the joy of life, whether at the Trophy or anywhere else.
