All set for the official launch in 2024

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy will start for the 20th time. Special preparations were necessary for the anniversary edition. The helpers are now completing the final work.
Celebrations in the anniversary year. The active Trophy community is not doing this with champagne and parties, but by moving even more and collecting even more kilometers. This is particularly easy this year because the stages are open from March 23 to October 4. If you want to be one of the most diligent, you no longer have to ride to the respective stage location, but can do so on your favorite stage on your doorstep until autumn.
Stable markings
As a result, the route markings will now point the way for six months instead of the usual four weeks. To ensure that the Trophy organizers can guarantee permanently good signposting, the Zuger Wanderwege association is lending a helping hand. Last Saturday, Alfred Knüsel, Vice-President and Head of Infrastructure at the Zuger Wanderwege Association, together with Beny Walker, District Manager in the Zug/Alpli Süd region, instructed the stage managers on how to correctly and safely mount the Trophy signs on the poles of the hiking trail signposts. The signs as well as the ground markings will be installed or sprayed in the next few days and then everything will be ready for the official starting signal on March 23.
Great prizes for hard-working
The advantage of the open stages can be enjoyed by all those who would like to secure the great prizes from the title sponsor. Zugerberg Finanz AG is once again rewarding all those who complete 2500, 5000 or even 10,000 meters in altitude (equivalent to 75, 150 or 300 kilometers). For an entry in the leaderboards or a ranking in the overall classification, the start must still take place during the official four-week stage window.
The Trophy fans are visibly full of anticipation. This is shown by the figures for the "pre-start stage", which has been running since February 24. Over 120 times were recorded on the first weekend alone. After one week, there were already well over 400.
