Already on course for a record
Trophy participants have already clocked up 300 running or walking times here.
After just one week, the pre-start ranking list for the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy already boasts impressive, even record-breaking figures.
This year's Zugerberg Finanz Trophy kicked off on Saturday, February 25. Last Sunday evening, the ranking list was as follows: 120 participants started a total of 300 times. The average age of the participants was 50 and the 5.9 kilometers were covered in an average of 43 minutes and 21 seconds.
The pre-start has been part of the Trophy since 2017. Since then, the stage has served as a "warm-up window" until the official Trophy start with the routes in Steinhauserwald and from Auw to Horben. Last year, the organizers registered almost 900 pre-start participants. This year, too, the highest number of starts to date seems to be within realistic reach.
Just like last year...
... the club and frequent starter rankings were also presented last Sunday evening. Among the clubs, the Höllgrotten Harriers are once again in first place, followed by Veloclub Menzingen. Daniel Etter, last season's high-flyer, is also in second place with twelve completed laps. With thirteen and thus one lap more, Armin Kirchhofer is ahead of him in first place. In third place - and four laps behind - is Dirk Meyer from Zurich. The company ranking is also picking up speed. The athletes from Zugerberg Finanz AG and Partners Group are in joint first place after eight days.
Free workshops
Not only is the start of the Trophy stages free of charge, participants can also take part in three workshops free of charge. In addition to the running course for beginners, which starts on March 28, the Lung League is offering the opportunity to take a lung function test on Thursday, June 1, 2023.
