Associations make a valuable contribution
The VC Ägeri is happy to take you on its rides.
For the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy, the work of its helper clubs is worth its weight in gold. The Zuger Lauftreff and the Velo Club Ägeri keep an eye on the current stages.
The clubs mark out the routes and collect the stamp cards. Mattias Derungs and Regula Lehmann do this work on behalf of the Zuger Lauftreff for the Zug stage. The two have been Trophy fans from the very beginning. Mattias has run and experienced a total of 7,500 Trophy kilometers since 2005. Regula has also managed a total of 7,000 kilometers.
The Zuger Lauftreff welcomes anyone who enjoys running with like-minded people. There are several running and walking groups to choose from, depending on strength and daily form. Training takes place on Tuesday evenings at 6.15 pm. They start from the Herti athletics track, the current Trophy start/finish. In addition to the Tuesday runs, there is also plenty of socializing; the programme includes summer aperitifs, a barbecue and a Christmas evening.
Cycling fans welcome
Sepp Aregger and the Velo Club Ägeri are responsible for the current Mountain Trophy from Schmittli to Zugerberg. The Veloclübler meet regularly for rides, which also include the Trophy routes. Anyone who wants to get on the saddle with others is welcome at VC Ägeri, especially children and young people who are just discovering cycling.
The stages in Zug and from Schmittli to Zugerberg will run until 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 5. Clean-up work on the Zugerberg is obstructing the route. The organizers strongly recommend postponing the start to the evening during the week. This will allow participants to get past the construction machinery and workers. You can find the current route status at any time on our homepage.
