Cooperation on the mountain sealed
Reto Benz, Project Manager of the Zug Trophy (left), and Michael Iten, President of the Zug Association of Raiffeisen Banks, are looking forward to continuing their collaboration.
The organizers of the Zuger Trophy are delighted. Raiffeisenbank has extended its commitment as name sponsor for the next three years. After signing the paper, Michael Iten and Reto Benz "celebrate" the continued cooperation at the current mountain stage.
Raiffeisenbank has been supporting the Zuger Trophy for 10 years. Reto Benz, project manager of the Zuger-Trophy, knows exactly how: "First it was involved as a co-sponsor, later as a presenting sponsor and since 2016 Raiffeisenbank has been on board as a presenting and name sponsor." Michael Iten, President of the Zug Association of Raiffeisen Banks, is delighted that the Trophy will bear the name of "his" bank for another three years: "We are proud partners of this project. It is one of our biggest sponsorship commitments in the region." It is obvious that the Trophy is close to his heart. "It's fantastic how the idea moves people. When I see the rush at the timing machine, I know that we are the right partner for this," continues Iten.
Bike and ski
Michael Iten is a big sports fan himself. He likes to ride his bike from Ägeri to work in Zug. Not directly, but over the Zugerberg and via the Zugerberg Trail. "Then I get to the office really happy," enthuses Iten. Although he prefers to ride his bike, as a finisher of the K78 in Davos he is also familiar with the trials and tribulations of an ultra-runner. Iten also enjoys being in the snow: "My children are already ambitious ski racers, so I like to accompany them as a fan."
22 minutes
With a lively chat, Reto Benz and Michael Iten complete the stage from Schmittli to Zugerberg in a comfortable 22 minutes. Once they reach the top, they don't need to take a breather because it was an easy cycle up for both of them. They are both really fit - also for the future of the Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy.
