Clothing specialist Skinfit has been supporting the Zug Trophy as a stage sponsor for years. Esther Kobelt has been working for Skinfit for 19 years, today as store manager in Sempach.
"Originating in the mountains of Vorarlberg and growing up in the triathlon world, Skinfit is now a functional clothing specialist for all endurance and outdoor sports." This is how the company summarizes its history. Esther Kobelt has experienced first-hand how the Austrian brand has gained a foothold and grown in Switzerland. "We've been here at Luzernerstrasse 15 in Sempach for fourteen years now," says the store manager. The store in Sempach is also the Swiss headquarters and is responsible for customer service. Every online order passes through the office desk of her three-person team and is checked here, says Esther Kobelt. Even during the lockdown, many customers ordered online, as they always do when the new catalog is published. "And because many customers want to try the items first, we were literally overrun when we were allowed to reopen the store on 22 May."
Coveted new products
There are two new products in particular that have hit like a bomb this spring, reveals Esther Kobelt: "Some items from the colorful 'Multicolore' product line are almost sold out, but will be restocked. The new design has been very well received. The second highlight is the new one-piece 'Chamonix Trail Suit', which was specially designed for trail running." According to the expert, it impresses with such well thought-out functionality that hardly any runner can resist it.
A herd animal
She herself is not a lone athlete: "I'm a herd animal. I love working for Skinfit at an event, preferably in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but taking part - no thanks," smiles the former 2nd division volleyball player. She needs the playfulness, simply going for a run is not for her. However, she likes to get on her mountain bike, preferably in company of course.
