Every stage has its charm

Currently on the podium of the frequent starters: Melanie Daly from Neuheim

The 3rd stage of the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy ends on June 19, 2022 - half-time. The woman with currently the most kilometers is Melanie Daly from Neuheim.

As in previous years, the Höllgrotten Harriers are leading the club rankings by a wide margin this year. The 50 or so runners have already started over 800 times and have already clocked up 5200 kilometers. The second-placed Veloclub Menzingen has "only" 3600 kilometers. The Pauwerbiker follow in third place with 2500 kilometers.

Challenging but rewarding
The most hard-working Harrier is Melanie Daly from Neuheim. Not only is she the leader within the club, she is also the most diligent participant of all. She has already clocked up over 500 kilometers with around 80 starts. Only Armin Kirchhofer from Baar currently has more. When asked about her performance, Daly is surprised: "Wow, I wasn't even aware that I was currently on the podium among the most frequent starters." Last year, she set herself the goal of running all the circuits. "This year, I actually wanted to take it a little easier, but voilà, now there are quite a few starts again." She loves the varied, hilly routes such as those in Steinhauser Wald, the long ones in Zug or Baar. She describes the latter as "challenging but rewarding." Basically, however, all stages have their charm.

She also wants to enjoy the other stages first and foremost: "I love running with my husband and children. I'm happy when I can set a good example for them and show them how they can incorporate exercise into their lives without too much effort or pressure." With her many starts, Melanie Daly has already completed the altitude challenge before the halfway point of the Trophy. She was able to accept the gifts from Zugerberg Finanz AG for 2000, 4000 and finally 8000 meters of altitude. All details and rankings can be found at zugerbergfinanz-trophy.ch.
