For all exercise enthusiasts
The pre-start round kicks off on Saturday
The special newspaper in the supplement shows that the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy is broadly supported. Sponsors, clubs and volunteers are helping to ensure that the Trophy will soon once again motivate many people to get moving.
Regular exercise is good for you. The Federal Office of Public Health recommends 2:30 hours of moderate-intensity sport or 1:15 hours of high-intensity sport per week. This is why the Canton of Zug also supports the Trophy. Cantonal Councillor Martin Pfister summarizes: "The idea is impressively simple and the response is correspondingly great. It has been a successful offer for all Zug residents for years and makes a major contribution to promoting exercise and health in the canton. The willingness of the volunteers is incredibly valuable and an important pillar for the success of the offer."
Ideal training
The Trophy starts next Saturday, February 26, with the pre-start stage in Herti. Doris Nagel-Wallimann, the fastest female runner in recent years, has the first long stage, which starts on March 26 in Steinhausen, on her training schedule as preparation for the Zurich Marathon. Cham Trophy dominator Philipp Arnold is doing the same, as he will also be starting in Zurich on April 10. "The hilly course is not ideal, but it still appeals to me for training," says Arnold, whose goal for Zurich has five priority levels: "1) finish, 2) finish healthy, that I recover quickly, 3) a time between 2:32 h and 2:35 h, 4) a personal best and 5) a time under 2:30 h, that would be the crowning glory."
All welcome
However, the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy is by no means just for high-flyers like Nagel-Wallimann or Arnold. And that's what makes it special. No matter how old, no matter how fast, no matter how often - the Trophy welcomes everyone and makes everyone a winner. They do something for their health and take part in the prize draw for attractive prizes.
