From taster customer to employee
Migros Fitnesspark Eichstätte Zug has been a co-sponsor of the Zug Trophy for years. Outdoor on the Trophy - indoor in the fitness park - the best training combination of all. Simona Hübscher has also discovered this.
Sport has always played a role in Simona Hübscher's life. Sometimes a smaller one, sometimes a bigger one, sometimes a really big one, like in 1999, when the Zug native came 3rd in the Swiss Junior Squash Championships. "Back then, I spent up to 20 hours a week in the hall," the 34-year-old recalls. As a result, her interest in better understanding how the body works increased. In 2012, she completed her training as a health masseuse at the Migros Club School. This was followed by further training in classic massage, source massage and foot reflexology therapy.
Caught by the running bug
In May 2018, Simona Hübscher took part in the Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy for the first time, together with her sister, who has been running for years. A few weeks later, she was at the starting line of the Lauerzerseelauf. Her conclusion at the finish: "It's actually a very cool sport." Further Trophy participations followed, including the running technique workshop offered by stage sponsor Dynamix Laufshop. There, the co-sponsor Fitnesspark gave participants free entry. Simona Hübscher also bagged one.
Simply sensational
The running-enthusiastic masseuse redeemed this voucher for a yoga class. She loves the great atmosphere and the extensive range on offer at the fitness park: "There's simply everything here." She imagined what it would be like to work here. As luck would have it, Andreas Landolt, manager of the Eichstätte fitness park, was actually looking for another masseuse. Simona Hübscher is thrilled: "Combining my hobby and profession under one roof is simply sensational!"
