Full throttle for the company ranking
Jerome Lamy completed the marathon in Lucerne in 3:03 h and motivates his colleagues to take part in the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy company competition.
The Zugerberg Finanz Trophy's new company competition pits the region's sportiest companies against each other. Since the start of the stage in Steinhausen, Partners Group has been in the lead.
Jerome Lamy is responsible for Partners Group leading the new company ranking. The Frenchman, who was born in Grenoble and has lived in Steinhausen since 2017, got to know the region through the Trophy stages. When he started at Partners Group just over a year ago, some Covid restrictions were still in place. Without further ado, Lamy motivated his colleagues to go running together. "The company supports activities that promote informal networking," says the passionate runner, who completed the Swiss City Marathon Lucerne last fall in an outstanding three hours and three minutes and has also been one of the finishers of the Engadine Ski Marathon since mid-March.
Big goals
This is Lamy's 5th Trophy season: "My goal is to beat the times from the last few years. Racing, but also on the road bike. The Trophy routes are ideal training routes for my planned trail runs." And he has big plans. At the "Montreux Trail Festival MXAlps" he has 70 kilometers and 5000 meters of altitude to conquer and at the "Verbier St. Bernard X Alpine" an incredible 140 kilometers and 9500 meters of altitude! But that's not all: in the fall, the 40-year-old also wants to compete on his racing bike in the Alpenbrevet and the "Chasing Cancellara" from Zurich to Zermatt.
For structured training and informal German lessons, Jerome Lamy trains with the Cham running group: "I try to run with the group as often as possible. With a job and family, there's not always enough time." That's why he loves the format of the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy. "The flexibility to take part around the clock for four weeks is brilliant. You can squeeze the round in somewhere in between."
Infectious motivation
It's no wonder that this passion for endurance sports spills over to his colleagues at work and motivates them to take part in the Trophy. Jerome Lamy has also clocked up the most Partners Group kilometers so far. He is followed by his colleague Eugeniu Ciobanu, who has mainly been walking. Can the second-placed team from Zugerberg Finanz AG catch up? The next few weeks of the Trophy will show.
