Here we go - start of the Winter Challenge next Saturday
The time has come! Next Saturday, the Zuger Trophy starts the new season with a new name: Zugerberg Finanz Trophy is the new name of the popular sports format.
Following the withdrawal of Raiffeisenbank as presenting sponsor, the independent asset manager Zugerberg Finanz is breathing new life into the tried-and-tested trophy. The organizers are looking forward to this valuable collaboration, which will put the project on a solid footing over the coming years.
Start in Herti
The fitness centers and swimming pools are closed. The Winter Challenge provides a welcome sporting challenge. The 5.9-kilometre circuit, which starts at the Herti athletics stadium, is relatively flat with an elevation gain of 30 meters - the ideal route for an initial test of fitness. The timing device is not on site. The time is recorded using a smartphone and the data can now also be uploaded from a sports watch. Participants can also record their running or walking time manually. The two new time recording methods make it even easier to take part. Now there is definitely no excuse for avoiding the Trophy challenge.
Starting signal for the Frequent Starter Trophy
The competition for the Frequent Starter Trophy is all about who collects the most kilometers across all stages by autumn. Anyone aiming for a place in the top 10 is well advised to collect their first kilometers in the Winter Challenge. Participation in the Winter Challenge also counts towards the Club Trophy. However, the Challenge does not count towards the overall classification.
