The start in Hasental for stage 04.

The Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy moves up to Menzingen. This is the start of Stage_04 of the Running and Mountain Trophy. Although the stages in Ennetsee and on the Zugerberg did not set any new records for participants, they were again very popular this year.

The winners of the Running Trophy in Ennetsee are Pascal Haas for the short distance, Philipp Arnold for the medium distance and Thomas Hug for the long distance. The women's winners are Patricia Morceli (short), Jennifer Heer (medium) and Kerstin Dusch (long). Conny Odermatt was the fastest runner on the Zugerberg route, Claudia Sutter the fastest on the road bike and Eveline Villiger on the mountain bike. Philipp Arnold took first place in all three disciplines on the mountain. With 1160 starters in the Badi Hünenberg and almost 300 in the Schönegg, the Zuger Trophy also provided plenty of action on this stage.

Home advantage for VC Menzingen
Veloclub Menzingen is currently in second place on the podium in the Club Trophy. This is likely to change now, as they will also be using their home advantage. Just like the Cham running group, which is currently still on the top step of the podium. However, VC Menzingen is not only actively involved in the Trophy, it also takes care of signaling and recording the stamped times. Karl Röllin coordinates the effort: "Because our commitment not only offers others, but also ourselves, the opportunity to train competitively on a sensational route in the Zug Highlands."

Altitude meters included
It's not just the Mountain Trophy, which leads up the Chnollen and offers 210 altitude meters over 3.4 km, that makes the participants sweat. The medium and long stages of the Running Trophy are also tough: 8.1 km and 170 meters of elevation gain and 14 km and 260 meters of elevation gain respectively. The climb up the Gubel is definitely not without its challenges, but offers a sensational view.
