The Höllgrotten Harriers are the first club to reach 10,000 club kilometers

The Höllgrotten Harriers dominate the club trophy again this year. Two weeks before the end of the season, they reach their target of 10,000 club kilometers.

Never before has a club collected so many kilometers. The Höllgrotten Harriers expats have been at the top of the Club Trophy for years. In 2017, they set their previous record at 7,032 kilometers, last year it was 5,518 kilometers. Always at the front: Harald Kaspar from Menzingen. On behalf of his almost 60 running colleagues, he sends a heartfelt thank you to the organizers and sponsors of the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy: "The Trophy is a great opportunity, especially for runners and cyclists who have recently moved here, to get to know the many facets of this beautiful canton and try out unknown routes." And that is precisely the aim of the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy: to get out into nature and discover the beautiful region at the same time.

Jan-Henrik Terwey has clocked up the most Harrier kilometers so far. With over 1,050 kilometers, it's no wonder that he is also on the podium of the multi-starter trophy. Just like his club colleague Daniel McVeigh. He too has already run over 1,000 kilometers.

Also strong outside the Trophy

Philipp Arnold once again stands out in terms of individual performances this season. With the exception of racing bikes, he is the fastest in all categories. And accordingly also wins outside the Trophy, such as the Mösere Berlgauf in Malters on September 12. He conquered the 11.5 km and 900 vertical meters in 55 minutes, achieving the second-best time ever. Personally, however, the 34-year-old is almost happier about his good cycling times on the mountain. At the beginning of the year, he thought he would just go for a ride. It will be interesting to see how long his impressive winning streak continues.
