Informed at the start
From March 25, these markings will once again show where the Trophy routes go.
This Saturday, February 25, 2023, the warm-up for the 19th edition of the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy begins. The special newspaper in the supplement provides detailed information.
Carnival is over and Lent begins today. The ideal time to give your body a break and treat it to some exercise in the fresh air. With the pre-start, the unofficial starting signal for the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy, the physical pampering program can be approached gently. The pace is irrelevant. The important thing is to tackle the almost six kilometers. Perhaps a walk at the beginning and jogging sections towards the end. Or a leisurely walk along the ribbon.
Exercise counts
You can find all the information about this year's edition in today's supplement. A brief explanation of the project: The Zugerberg Finance Trophy involves signposted routes that can be run around the clock during a four-week time window. You record your time and rank yourself in the virtual ranking list. Those who collect enough kilometers or altitude meters can look forward to great surprises from the presenting sponsor, Zugerberg Finanz. As mentioned, the pace doesn't matter. What counts is the movement. Details of the signposted routes and their time slots can be found in the supplement on pages 7 to 9 and online here, while details of the timing options can be found on page 2 and here.
Official start on March 25
The pre-start is aimed at runners and walkers. Cycling and orienteering fans will also get their money's worth again with the official start on March 25. A circular stage (for runners, walkers and orienteers) and a mountain stage (on foot and by bike) will run simultaneously. If you want to keep up to date with the Trophy, follow it on Facebook and Instagram. We are also happy to receive questions and suggestions there or at media@zugerbergfinanz-trophy.ch.
But now: read the supplement and get your running or walking shoes ready for Saturday!
