Interruption of the long stage
Due to roadworks, the 16.8-kilometre route from Zug to Cham via Steinhausen, Blickensdorf and back to Zug cannot be used until August 28.
About halfway along the route, you cross the highway overpass and turn left into the Städtlerwald forest. Pipeline construction is currently making it impossible to get through. In order not to distort the ranking list, we have decided not to adjust the route and regret the circumstances. We hope that all athletes who still wish to tackle the stage will be able to do so between Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, September 6. Just before the closing time, serial winner Doris Nagel-Wallimann set a new course record on the route in question. She only needed just over 70 minutes to cover the 17 kilometers.
Harriers and Dietrich top
The club trophy continues to rack up the kilometers. The Höllgrotten Harriers are still in the lead, having already collected over 4000 kilometers. Nine members have already clocked up over 200 kilometers each, the leaders being Heather Hobday with over 500 kilometers and Alex de Chazal with a good 410 kilometers. The second-placed Veloclub Menzingen with just under 3,000 kilometers also has two clear leaders: Karl Röllin with just under 400 kilometers and Thomas Walker with over 320 kilometers. Frequent starter Maja Dietrich has already clocked up almost 950 kilometers with no fewer than 162 starts (as of 16.08.2020). Thanks to her, Lauftreff Zug, for whom Dietrich is competing, is currently in bronze place. Together with Regula Lehmann's 744 kilometers, Sara Dietrich's 634 kilometers and the starts of the other Lauftreff runners, the club has covered a good 2,700 kilometers.
