It goes on!

On Saturday, August 8, the Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy returns from its summer break. It's time for the start of the second-last stage.

The short lap of stage 05_Zug measures 2.1 kilometers. Those who complete the medium route run or walk 5.9 kilometers. It leads to Brüggli, along the lake to Choller and on the Cham cycle path back towards Herti. The long stage is really exciting. Instead of turning right in Choller, the route continues to Cham. Via Teuflibach, Eizmoos, Baregg - peppered with a few nice meters of altitude - it goes via Bibersee in the direction of Steinhausen. After a short stretch through the Steinhausen forest down to Blickensdorf and along the Lorze back to the start and finish. These 16.8 kilometers are perfect for a long jog in case there is a run somewhere in the autumn. Matthias Derungs supervises the stage on behalf of the Zuger Lauftreff.

Worth the effort
290 meters in altitude have to be overcome on the 3.3 km from Schmittli to Zugerberg. The path winds its way through the forest, steadily gaining altitude. Once you are over the mountain, you can enjoy the wonderful view of Zug. And that is worth the effort every time - especially at sunset. The stage is supervised by the Ägeri cycling club. According to Sepp Aregger, the club's Trophy manager, the Schmittli - Zugerberg route is one of the VC's home routes.

Remain in the overall standings
Those who have completed all stages of a category so far should not let up now. The three fastest in each category will receive an attractive prize. Further prizes from our valuable sponsors will be raffled off among all participants who remain in the overall ranking until October 2.
