Last Trophy days and a fundraising marathon
Lake Aegeri is the focus of the current Trophy stage and the Trophy charity marathon with "Ruedi rennt" on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
On Friday, October 3, 2025, the 21st edition of the Trophy will be taking its winter break. It's hard to believe that our half-year is already over. While Heidi Müller outdid everyone with her incredibly consistent effort, numerous other participants, over 1,200 in number, also put in great performances.
The lap around Lake Aegeri is always the wonderful highlight at the end of the season. The 17.2 kilometers with the crisp final climb up to Helgenhüsli demand everything from most runners once again. Just like the longest mountain stage up to Raten. We are therefore particularly pleased that the Ägerital will once again be the focus of the Trophy activities on Saturday, November 1, 2025!
Donation marathon around Lake Aegeri
Ruedi Frehner may be familiar to some in the community. With "Ruedi rennt", the man from Graubünden repeatedly raises money for a good cause as part of exciting running projects. This fall, for example, he is running 30 marathons in 30 days to raise money for children with cancer. Because running is particularly fun against this backdrop, we have brought one of these 30 marathons to Lake Aegeri. Ruedi is therefore running the "Trophy Marathon" in three laps of 14 kilometers each, on which anyone interested can join him. The starting signal will be given at 10 a.m. in front of the Ägeribad in Oberägeri. Ruedi says about the planned pace: "The pace will be between 6 and 6:30 minutes/kilometer. I usually take a short break (1-2 minutes) every 5 kilometers." That works out at around 96 minutes for one lap. So if you want to join in on the second lap, you will be ready from 11.30 a.m. at the Ägeribad and if you want to run the last lap, you can expect to start from 1.10 p.m. onwards. Participation is free, but of course Ruedi and we would be delighted if as many people as possible donated a small or large sum.
