Menzing municipal councillor at the Zug Trophy
Isabelle Menzi from Edlibach jogs regularly. Last weekend, she ran a lap of the Zug Trophy for the first time.
Isabelle Menzi was elected to the Menzingen municipal council in 2015 and confirmed for a second term in 2019. "For me, Menzingen is a place where people still know each other, greet each other and support each other. Values are still practised here that have long since disappeared into anonymity elsewhere." That's why politics is a matter close to the heart for the 47-year-old mother of two. She feels very much at home here. So much so that she even joined an association in 2010, although she would not have described herself as an association person before. "When I was asked to be co-president of 'Frauen Menzingen', I was delighted and very happy to accept the position." And just one year later, Isabelle Menzi was elected president of the association. However, after becoming a member of the municipal council, she handed over the leadership of the association.
Motivating people
In addition to politics, Isabelle Menzi also works in coaching, where she supports people and shows them how to present themselves convincingly, effectively and confidently. The qualified business economist trained as a color and fashion style consultant in 2013. This was followed by diplomas as a make-up artist and etiquette trainer and, in 2018, training as a company mentor and qualified coach. "Today I combine all this knowledge. I love motivating and supporting people to get the best out of themselves. It's incredibly rewarding," says Menzi.
Sport relaxes
When her schedule allows, she goes jogging twice a week with her husband Philipp: "Paradise is on our doorstep. We love to clear our heads on a leisurely run in the company of our border terrier Kira." And after the summer vacations, Isabelle Menzi will probably work up a sweat as a step aerobics instructor. "I used to do this regularly, and now some of the girls from Menzing are showing interest in a course, which will bring me back to my former hobby." The anticipation is written all over Isabelle Menzi's face.
