More starts than ever before

The stage on the Horben records over 1200 starts. Record!

The first two stages see record participation. Despite cool, sometimes nasty weather, an average of around 100 people started the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy.

On stage 01_Steinhausen, 1854 times were recorded, around 300 more than in 2018, the best year to date. On Horben, the organizers recorded 1205 times, over 100 more than in 2016, the previous record year. And Philipp Arnold from Cham is once again the measure of all things this year. He won all three distances in Steinhausen. On the long lap, he improved his own course record by almost 20 seconds. There are three different women's winners; Lara Kolb wins the short stage, Seline Stalder the medium and Doris Nagel-Wallimann the long. She beat the course record by almost five minutes.

Three course records
At the Mountain Trophy from Auw to Horben, there was a course record in all three sports: Nina Villiger improved the running record by over two minutes. John Whittington from Baar rocketed up the Horben on his racing bike in 13:24 minutes, beating the old record by 11 seconds. On the mountain bike, Janina Wüst was 40 seconds faster than the previous fastest woman. The other category victories went to Philipp Arnold, who was also the fastest on foot and by mountain bike, and Claudia Sutter, who won the women's road bike category.

Now in Baar and Root
Since Monday, stage_02 has been running in Baar and from Root up to Michaelskreuz. Points can be scored for the altitude challenge in both places. In Baar, the 2.7-kilometre loop has 90 meters of elevation gain, while the 6.9-kilometre loop has 210 and 370 meters of elevation gain over the 14.6-kilometre route. From Root to Michaelskreuz, the elevation gain is 340 meters. These stages are also possible thanks to the support of sports clubs: TSV Concordia ensures that everything runs smoothly in Baar.
