Now the Trophy "really" starts!
The participants have already shown at the pre-start that they are hungry for Trophy kilometers. From Saturday onwards, two stages will run simultaneously. On the one hand, the circular route with start and finish at the same location and a choice of short, medium or long route lengths. On the other hand, at a different location, the mountain route with start in A and finish in B, with 210 to 380 vertical meters in between.
Stage 01_Steinhausen
The beautiful circular routes and in the Steinhausen forest measure 2.8 km, 8.4 km and 12.3 km. The new stage organizer Keith Lawless from TV Steinhausen Allsport enthuses: "The undulating routes impress with their views and a pleasant mix of field and forest paths." Steinhausen is the most popular of the long stages. It has recorded by far the most starts to date.
Rewarded with a view
Those who prefer a more challenging profile can start on the mountain route from Auw to Horben. "Our stage is characterized by a climb with many changes in rhythm and two crisp ramps. The last section is flat and offers a wonderful view over the Reuss Valley and into the Alps," says Andi Amstutz from the Pauwerbikers, who is responsible for the stage. Over a distance of 4.8 km, 330 meters in altitude have to be conquered, on foot or on two wheels.
Altitude challenge & brevet
Those who are diligent on the road will soon be among the winners of the altitude challenge. Anyone who completes 2500 vertical meters will receive a pair of the now legendary Trophy socks. Those who continue and climb 5,000 vertical meters will receive a functional Trophy base layer and those who even manage 10,000 will be rewarded with an exclusive Trophy bag set.
The "Zugerberg Finanz Brevet" is a brand new Trophy challenge in the starting blocks. It is the ultimate challenge for all passionate cycling fans. Details can be found here.
