Pre-launch with brilliant figures
The morning atmosphere is simply fantastic these days.
After just one week, the pre-start is shining with a pleasing number of participants. And the weather continues to whet the appetite for more.
These days you could be forgiven for thinking that Peter is a passionate outdoor sportsman. A look at the Trophy statistics shows that this certainly applies to many Zug residents. After just one week, more than 110 participants have already taken part in the pre-launch. Together they have completed almost 280 laps and have already clocked up over 1,600 Trophy kilometers. Last year's record was 160 participants with almost 850 laps after four weeks.
With great vigor
The Höllgrotten Harriers have already taken the lead in the club rankings by a large margin. They have several new members and have started "with fresh energy and great vigor", as Harald Kasper, a long-time Harrier, explains. When asked about the club's goal, he replies: "We hope to achieve a similarly good result as last year." If they continue like this, the club triumph will be theirs for the taking again this year. Sponsors are also high up on the club's list. For example, cpsport, the coaching company of Christian Pötzsch. Heidi and Jürg Studer are at the start for him. "The start is close to our home and because we want to know how fit we are over the winter, we walk the route several times," they say, "We know Christian personally and his good back training keeps Heidi fit and flexible." With the Fitnesspark and Zugerberg Finanz AG, the presenting sponsor, two other sponsors have collected their first kilometers.
From far and wide
The organizers are particularly pleased when participants come from far and wide. This shows that the Trophy is known beyond the cantonal borders, even as far as the canton of Berne, as demonstrated by the start of Christian Eidner from Ursenbach (BE). He finished in 5th place for the Waffenlauf-Verein Schweiz.
