Raiffeisen runs with
Stephan Helfenstein at the start of the Raiffeisen Zuger-Trophy in the Schmittli.
With its presenting sponsorship, Raiffeisenbank makes a significant contribution to the success of the Zuger-Trophy. Stephan Helfenstein not only works at Raiffeisenbank Region Ägerital-Sattel, he also competes for the "Raiffeisen" team himself.
In the list of clubs, "Raiffeisen" just misses out on the top 10. It's not Stephan Helfenstein's fault. The man from Unteräger has collected the second most team kilometers to date, namely exactly 87.9, for which he has already stamped his time 16 times. Helfenstein has been working at Raiffeisenbank since 2005. Today he is a member of the Executive Board and Head of Credit Processing. Sport is the ideal balance for him: "I train two to four times a week. I mainly go jogging or go trail running." The varied routes of the Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy are ideal for this. Last year, he managed 47 starts and 241.8 km. And after the summer vacations, his home stages in Menzingen and Ägeri will follow. There will certainly be many more kilometers to come.
Also with bike
"However, I'm not pursuing a specific goal with my participation in the Trophy," says Stephan Helfenstein. He does train for runs from time to time, but his main aim is to be out in the fresh air and do something for his body. Nevertheless, comparing times is an exciting side effect for Helfenstein. In addition to trail running and jogging, Helfenstein also likes to go biking or to the football pitch. He has already tackled the mountain stage from Schmittli to Zugerberg in the saddle.
Raiffeisen remains
Stephan Helfenstein appreciates the Zuger Trophy project: "Thanks go to the organizers and all the helpers. They do a great job, everything runs smoothly." In September 2018, sponsorship was agreed for a further three years. The Trophy will therefore continue to travel through the canton as the Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy. And Stephan Helfenstein along with it.
