Record number of participants in Baar
The Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy moved on at the weekend. Again with a record number of participants in the bag. 1191 times were registered in Baar. The current stages in Ennetsee and on the Zugerberg inspire with varied routes and beautiful views.
Short is popular
With an increase of almost 200 times, the Baar stage beat the previous record. Of the almost 1200 participants, the short stage was the most popular. It was run 514 times. Last year there were 372 starts, around a third fewer.
Three course records
No stage without new course records. No stage without a new record from Philipp Arnold. He improves his time over the short stage in Baar by five seconds. On the mountain stage from Root to Michaelskreuz, Conny Odermatt runs up the mountain 39 seconds faster than last year and Eveline Villiger beats the women's mountain bike record by 28 seconds.
Half marathon in Ennetsee
The Running Trophy started on Monday, May 21, 2017 at Badi Hünenberg. Stage 03_Ennetsee offers three routes over 2.2 km, 5.1 km and 21.2 km. Daniel Föllmi is in charge of the stage with the Cham running group. "The routes along Lake Zug are very varied. You run through the cantons of Zug, Lucerne and Schwyz on the winding half-marathon route," says Föllmi, who is ranked in the top ten himself, describing the stage.
The Zug Alpe d'Huez
2.4 km, 14 % average gradient and 320 meters in altitude - these are the hard facts of stage 03_Zug-Zugerberg. The Baar-Zug cycling club, coordinated by Paulina Wielinska, is responsible for the stage.
