The Braui crew on tour
Have completed their first Trophy round: Marcel, Melanie, Andy, Martin, Nico and Milko
It's only a few hundred meters from the Baar brewery to the start of Stage_02 of the Raiffeisen Zug Trophy. Nevertheless, the Braui team sets off on its Trophy premiere on this April evening. The aim is to finally test the isotonic-regenerative qualities of Baarer Bier alkoholfrei for themselves.
Six employees meet up for an internal sports evening. Among them is the boss himself. Martin Uster takes the years of sponsorship commitment as an opportunity to finally put the Lorzentobel under his own feet with his crew. "The time is right," he comments on the project.
Fill out, stamp and go
After a handful of stabilization exercises in the Braui parking lot, Martin Uster jogs towards the start with his team Andy, Nico, Marcel, Milko and Melanie. "You guys go ahead. We're walking," announce Melanie and Andy. Everyone fills out their first Trophy card, stamps their start time and off they go. None of them describe themselves as passionate runners. Nico runs a lap once or twice a week: "To clear my head, it works wonders." Milko doesn't run regularly either. Nevertheless, his upper arms reveal that he is no stranger to sport: "I do arm wrestling." His colleague jokes that he runs the lap safely in a handstand.
Caught by running fever?
Although only 2.7 kilometers, the short stage is also a varied lap. The group enjoys the fresh air and is impressed by the simple way the Trophy works. It seems as if everyone is motivated to collect more kilometers for the newly registered association "Brauerei Baar". Some are even toying with the idea of taking part in the Ägeriseelauf as a duo. "It would be cool to wear a race number like that," smiles Marcel.
Back at the Braui parking lot, there is of course a cool Baar non-alcoholic beer to start the regeneration immediately. After all, everyone should be fit again quickly - for the next Trophy round.
