The first Trophy round shortly before the end
She completed her first Trophy round shortly before the end of the season: Eila Bredehöft, Managing Director of Zug Culture and passionate runner.
The Zugerberg Finance Trophy 2025 ends the day after tomorrow, Friday, October 3, at 6 p.m. Shortly beforehand, Eila Bredehöft will run her first lap. The Managing Director of Zug Kultur is preparing for her big goal.
So far, her name has not appeared in our ranking list. Today, one week before the end of the 21st edition, Eila Bredehöft is running her very first Trophy lap. Her training plan includes an endurance run of twelve kilometers. With an out-and-back route from her home in Cham, the 5.4-kilometre route of the Ennetsee stage fits in perfectly. The training plan mentioned above prepares Eila for her first marathon. She will be running it in Lucerne at the end of October: "It's going quite well, apart from the occasional tweak here and there, but I'm in the best of hands with my physio. It's going well," says the 45-year-old with a smile. Growing up in Langenthal, her hobby was athletics, especially the middle distance. This was followed by around 20 years without much sport - until she started running again years ago and completed her first half marathon in 2021.
Culture & sport
As Managing Director of Zug Culture, Eila Bredehöft knows her way around the scene. She recognizes numerous parallels between culture and sport: "As a consumer of culture, both are areas where I can switch off. At a play, I forget about the surroundings and immerse myself in a foreign story, whereas when I'm running, I'm with my own thoughts, in my own world. Both make me forget my everyday life and both are good for me. For active artists, the same things count as in sport: training, endurance, mental strength - and in both areas there is a broad mass and only a few who make it to the top and can live from it. The musician perhaps a little longer than the sportsperson, as age tends to be less of a factor in art."
Back to the Trophy. Eila could be putting these routes under her feet more often next year. "I think the idea is great and I can well imagine going to Menzingen to run on a new but well-signposted route." But first the 42.2 kilometers on the new marathon course in Lucerne, for which we wish her lots of energy and good legs!
