The sponsor also runs himself.
Martin Uster, Managing Director of the Baar Brewery and sponsor of Stage_02.
The two stages_02 in Baar and from Gisikon up to Michaelskreuz have been running for almost ten days. Martin Uster, Managing Director of the Baar Brewery, is also on his home stage.
The three routes in Baar are tough. The short, medium and, above all, the long route are a real challenge due to the steep climbs. The Baar Brewery has been a sponsor of the event for years with its Baarer Bier Alkoholfrei beer. Managing Director Martin Uster occasionally completes the short stage. "The Trophy is a great thing, sporty, varied and represented throughout the canton," says Uster, describing the project. Is he pursuing a specific goal over the 2.7 kilometers? "Not really, I just like being out in nature. The fact that I can stop my time motivates me even more." He tries to exercise twice a week. He prefers fitness and golf, and when he goes on vacation, diving. And jogging from time to time: "The Zug Trophy offers the ideal opportunity to get to know new routes. I haven't seen them all yet," says the Managing Director, who is celebrating his 20th anniversary at the "Braui" on July 12. But Martin Uster is not completely aimless: "I would like to weigh 20 kilos less".
Possible thanks to support
While Baarer Bier Alkoholfrei is supporting the stage in Baar, Inscreen Siebdruck is supporting the stage of the Mountain Trophy. In addition to the support of the sponsors, both stages are also possible thanks to the help of the sports clubs. TSV Concordia ensures that everything runs smoothly in Baar. The Veloclub Hünenberg in Root and on the Michaelskreuz. The 3.4 kilometers with 340 meters of elevation gain to Michaelskreuz are also ideal as training for the Zugerberg Classic, which takes place on Wednesday evening, 5 June, Global Running Day. Registration is possible until the day before, June 4, at www.zugerberg-classic.ch. The main race covers 6.5 kilometers and 540 vertical meters from Postplatz up to the finish line at Institut Montana.
