Three podium places each for Joanna Murphy and Jennifer Heer
Zugerberg - last week, as well as this week, the destination of the Mountain Trophy.
The battle for the stage podium places continued until last Sunday. In the men's race, Philipp Arnold again won five out of six categories. Jens Groos takes victory on the road bike. Joanna Murphy won twice in the women's race and Jennifer Heer, Conny Odermatt, Eveline Villiger and Andrea Lauffer each won once.
In Ennetsee, 60 more starts were recorded on the shortened long stage than last year on the half marathon course. A success. The average age of the participants is still similar: 43 years on the short and 49 years on the medium and long course. This puts one of the fastest runners above the average: Cecil Wheeler from Cham, aged 51, came second behind Arnold on the 2.2 kilometers and third on the 5.1 kilometers. Reto Benz completes the podium on the short stage and David Gärtner is in second place on the medium stage. He also came second on the long stage, followed by Thomas Hug in third place. Joanna Murphy is among the fastest women in the short, medium and long stages. She is first on the short and long laps and third on the medium lap. Jennifer Heer is second on the short and first on the medium distance. Caroline Heeb is also on the podium twice. She is second on the medium and third on the long lap. Third place on the 2.2 km, which goes to Kerstin Dusch, and second place on the 14 kilometers, which goes to Rita Wicki, are still missing.
On the mountain stage from Schönegg up to the Zugerberg, the podium in the women's running category is as follows: 1st Conny Odermatt, 2nd Jennifer Heer and 3rd Beatrice Steiner. In the men's category, Philipp Arnold was followed by Norbert Utz in second place and Beat Blättler in third. Andrea Lauffer was the fastest on a racing bike, followed by Vroni Steinmann and Andrea Arnold. Jens Groos, Kevin Züricher and Philipp Arnold came first to third in the men's race. And Philipp Arnold and Eveline Villiger are the fastest mountain bikers. In second place are Kevin Zürcher and Helene Villiger and in third place Andy Styger and Florina Vasutiu.
The Running Trophy starts on Monday at Herti in Zug and the Mountain Trophy at Schmittli Neuägeri.
