Train for the Zugerberg Finanz Classic on the Trophy course
If everything goes according to plan, the Zugerberg Finanz Classic will kick off in exactly two weeks, on June 2. Stage 03_Zug - Zugerberg is ideal as training for this competition.
The four-week time window for stage 2 ended last Sunday at 4 pm. The winners on the Baar routes are: Andrina Lustenberger (short), Seline Stalder (medium) and Doris Nagel-Wallimann (long). Adrian Brennwald wins the medium distance and Philipp Arnold the short and long distances. The fastest on the Michaelskreuz were Myriam Keiser and Tobias Renggli (mountain run), Janina Wüst and Philipp Arnold (mountain bike) and Claudia Sutter and again Tobias Renggli (road bike). Both stages closed with a record number of participants: 1598 times were recorded in Baar, 884 on the Michaelskreuz.
Training on the race course
Since the Monday before yesterday, the timing machine for the running stage 03_Ennetsee has been located in the Hünenberger Badi and that for the mountain stage 03_Zug-Zugerberg in Schönegg. Zugerberg Finanz AG is not only the presenting sponsor of the Trophy, but also supports the format of the Zugerberg Classic, which has been taking place on Global Running Day since last year. The two events therefore run hand in hand. The 2.9 km of the Trophy mountain course are part of the almost seven-kilometre Classic race course. It is therefore worth completing the Trophy course two or three times to prepare for the competition.
Altitude meters count
Anyone who completes 2,500 meters of altitude in the newly launched altitude challenge will receive a pair of cool socks from presenting sponsor Zugerberg Finanz, while 5,000 meters of altitude will be rewarded with an original sweater. Anyone who starts at the Zugerberg Finanz Classic on June 2 at 7 p.m. is not only part of the beautiful Zug mountain run, but can also have the 540 meters in altitude credited to the altitude challenge. This brings the prizes a good deal closer. Register now at www.zugerbergfinanz-classic. Participation is doubly worthwhile.
