Trophy start on #globalrunningday
The running community celebrates Global Running Day on the first Wednesday in June. The Zugerberg Finanz Classic would have taken place in Zug today.
Due to the current situation, the event had to be canceled. You can still go running today. Those who have already trained for the Zugerberg Classic can put their form to the test at the Mountain Trophy. Although the Trophy route is shorter with correspondingly fewer meters in altitude, the 2.9 kilometers with 380 meters in altitude are always tough.
Prize for the fastest
The fastest runners who start on the Schönegg-Zugerberg stage today (Wednesday) will receive entry to the Migros Fitnesspark Eichstätte. One entry each goes to the fastest runner in the U30 category, one each to the fastest U50 runner and one each to the winner of the day in the over 50 category. Zugerberg Finanz Trophy will be giving away four more free entries to the fitness park among the running photos posted today (Wednesday) with @zugerbergfinanztrophy and #GlobalRunningDay.
Once around the world
The people of Zug don't just get moving on Global Running Day. This is shown by the impressive figures for the Trophy. Even before the halfway point of this year's event, the participants have circumnavigated the world once and already covered more than 44,000 km. The kilometers have been covered by 45% women and 55% men, who are 42 years old on average. The youngest participant is 3, the oldest a proud 89. A total of over 7,500 times have already been recorded, over 900 of which go to the members of the Höllgrotten Harriers, who lead the club trophy by a large margin of over 2,400 km.
Bike technique workshop
On Saturday, June 19 from 9 am to 1 pm, the two bike specialists Andi Amstutz and Beat Lustenberger will once again be offering a free bike technique workshop. You can find the details under "Participation".
