Reto Schorta, stage manager in Steinhausen

Reto Schorta is responsible for the stage in Steinhausen. "His" stage should have officially started last Saturday. However, participation is currently only possible under certain conditions.

The Raiffeisen Zuger-Trophy in Steinhausen is allowed to start with timekeeping via smartphone and in compliance with the FOPH measures. Reto Schorta is sad that the Trophy is starting without timing devices. Also because this is the first time he has supervised the stage for the Allsport Turnverein Steinhausen club: "We organized everything well in advance. The plan as to when the stamp cards would be collected has been in place for weeks. Now we are very sorry that the coronavirus has also put a spanner in the works." Steinhauser has been a member of Allsport for two years. "Training in the group is just right for me, whether it's floorball, football, basketball or any other game," says the 38-year-old, whose sporting passion is Crossfit. Although he has already crossed the finish line at the half marathon in Lucerne, his Trophy kilometers will probably be limited to the routes in Steinhauser Wald. "The routes here are beautiful and on my doorstep. I'm also pleased that I can give something back to the club with my Trophy commitment."

Successful on the road
Reto Schorta is professionally successful with Agentmedia, an agency for graphics and communication. Founded 10 years ago with a colleague, Schorta now shares the management with two colleagues. "The work is varied and extremely enjoyable. Especially when the fruits of our work roll through Zug, as the EVZ bus we designed has been doing since March 9, it fills us with pride," enthuses Schorta, who completed an apprenticeship as a printer and went on to complete a Master's degree in Business Communication to become a communications professional.

A drop of melancholy
As with all of us, the next few days are also likely to be quieter for Reto Schorta. "Maybe there will be two or three extra trips this year in my old lady, my 50-year-old Citroën DS." A drop of melancholy for the classic car fan due to the difficult situation.

 

Note on the Mountain Trophy: Clarification is currently underway as to whether Stage_01 of the Mountain Trophy can also be completed with a smartphone.
