Zugerberg Finance Trophy goes into the summer break
After the summer break, it's off to the varied stage from Zug.
The current stages end next Sunday, July 17 at 4 pm in Menzingen. The Trophy takes a break until Saturday, August 13.
Menzingen is running - and how! Ten days before the end of the stage, the Menzingen Cycling Club, which is responsible for the current stages, has already recorded a record number of participants on the mountain route. The altitude challenge continues to motivate. Around 60 participants have now completed the challenge with 8000 meters of altitude. In addition, there are around 90 athletes who have completed the second stage with 4000 meters of altitude and another 100 who have reached the 2000 meter hurdle. In total, there are a good 1100 exercise enthusiasts.
The duel continues
Daniel Etter from Menzingen and Melanie Daly from Neuheim are still battling it out at the top of the list of frequent starters. Both are breaking the 700 kilometer barrier these days. The two also represent the two leading clubs in the club ranking. Daly is a member of the Höllgrotten Harriers, who lead the rankings with a total of 6500 kilometers. He is followed by Veloclub Menzingen, for whom Daniel Etter is competing. The Veloclub is at 6050 kilometers on the last Sunday. Will the Veloclub make the most of its last week with home advantage and go into the summer break as the leading club?
After the summer break
in mid-August, the circuits in Zug continue. The start/finish is at the athletics facility in Herti. The three routes of 2.1 km, 5.9 km and the particularly varied 16.8 km loop start from there. The latter leads from Zug along the lake to Cham, through Hirsgartenpark along the Lorze towards Pfad, through the Städtlerwald forest via Bibersee to Steinhausen, on to Blickensdorf and back along the Lorze to Herti. The stage is supervised by the Zuger Lauftreff. The mountain route starts on August 13 in Schmidtli Neuägeri and leads over 3.3 km and 290 meters in altitude up the Zugerberg. The Veloclub Ägeri is responsible for the organization. The Zugerberg Finance Trophy team wishes all participants a relaxing summer vacation.
