"Maybe I'll get it then."
Roland Iten from Risi Services AG wants to complete his first stage.
The Raiffeisen Zuger Trophy works thanks to generous sponsorship. This also includes Risi Service AG and Dynamix Laufshop. They are supporting the current stage_03, and perhaps Risi employee Roland Iten will now be tempted to take part himself.
Roland Iten has been working at Risi for 12 years, first at Risi AG and now at Risi Service AG. "We maintain and repair heavy and light commercial vehicles as well as cars and vans of all makes. We also manage company filling stations for companies that have their own filling station," says Iten, summarizing the day-to-day business. Risi Service AG has been supporting the Trophy for years. Roland Iten therefore wants to finally compete in his first stage: "As I grew up on the current mountain stage on our local mountain, it really is high time. And who knows, maybe I'll be up for it." He likes the idea of being able to compete with others on a fixed, varied route. "It certainly motivates me to start again as soon as possible to make up one or two places in the rankings." Iten is otherwise a team athlete. He plays floorball for UHC Einhorn Hünenberg and is an avid ice hockey fan. The weekly training sessions are a great way to balance out everyday office life. "And we're a really great team. It simply makes training fun."
Renato Balasso, owner of the running store Dynamix, also supports the Trophy as a stage sponsor. Anyone who prints out their personal Zug Trophy certificate will receive a 10 percent discount on the entire range. And every year, he holds a running technique workshop to show interested participants their shortcomings in terms of running style. On a cool evening in May, 15 runners learned how a well-executed running technique affects energy consumption and speed. "On the treadmill, it became clear that the arm movement very often leaves a lot to be desired," explains the former top athlete, "If you keep your arms clean, you reduce body twisting, which in turn reduces the potential for injury."
