Running is simply incredibly good for me
Béa Carlen from Cham on the loop around Lake Aegeri, one of her favorite routes in the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy.
It's a picture-book Sunday morning. With slightly cooler temperatures, the start of fall is making itself felt. The radiant light and intense colors ensure maximum anticipation for a leisurely lap around Lake Aegeri. "Alongside Steinhausen and Menzingen, this loop is clearly one of my favorite parts of the Zugerberg Finance Trophy," enthuses Béa, who is grateful and happy that she is finally able to run again after a few difficult months. "The injury-related break was tough, but it also taught me a lot and made me stronger. I now take more care of my body. It is our most important asset and deserves the appropriate care."
The joy of running in a group
When running, Béa Carlen lets her mind wander "and the interaction when I'm out and about with my running group friends is simply priceless, as is the individual support from our trainer." The coach is Patricia Morceli-Bühler, who, according to Béa, is excellent at picking up and supporting each of her athletes exactly where they are, regardless of their level or ambitions. That's why Béa is so happy that she can now regularly attend training sessions again. "Running is just so incredibly good for me."
Fantastic collaboration
Béa also enjoys her commitment to the Cham women's community. You can immediately tell how passionate she is about it: "My team and I are responsible for our range of courses and it never ceases to amaze me how many very different people we reach." A glance at the frauengemeinschaftcham.ch website shows just how diverse this range of courses is. "But it's not just my department that I find incredibly enjoyable, it's above all the fantastic collaboration that I experience here and that makes our association so successful." The Cham Women's Community currently has almost 900 members and the number is growing. "Interested women are always welcome. It's the ideal platform for making new friends," says the mother of two.
The current stages in Unter- and Oberägeri will run until Friday, October 6.
